Software Built for Law Firms

Every tool we build is designed around the real workflows of practicing attorneys — not generic business software adapted for legal.

01.

Client Intake Automation

Replace email chains and phone tags with a structured intake system that qualifies leads, collects documents, and routes new matters to the right attorney — automatically. Your staff stops chasing clients and starts serving them.

02.

Document Automation

Generate engagement letters, retainer agreements, and court-ready forms from structured data in seconds. We integrate document automation directly into your existing practice management workflow so nothing falls through the cracks.

03.

Custom Workflow Software

Off-the-shelf practice management tools rarely fit complex matter types. We build custom workflow systems that mirror how your firm actually works — from conflict checks to billing triggers to client portal access.

04.

Custom Software Development

Need something that doesn't exist yet? Our team designs and builds bespoke web applications for law firms — APIs, internal tools, client-facing portals, and integrations with platforms like Clio, MyCase, or Filevine.

05.

Law Firm Landing Pages

Fast, conversion-focused landing pages built for attorneys who want to turn ad traffic into consultations. We write the copy, design the page, and optimize for the practice areas and locations that matter to your firm.

06.

Process Consulting

Before we write a line of code, we map your intake-to-close workflow. Our process consulting engagements help practice managers and managing partners identify exactly where time is leaking — and which automations will make the biggest impact.

The Firm Behind the Firm

We're not a generalist agency that stumbled into legal tech. Every engagement we take is with a US law firm.

Legal-First Expertise

Three years working exclusively with US law firms means we speak your language — intake, matter management, conflicts, retainers. We don't need a legal education from your staff before the project starts.

Nearshore Advantage

Based in Buenos Aires, our team works in US business hours and costs significantly less than comparable US firms. You get responsive communication and senior talent without the offshore timezone friction.

NDA by Default

Client confidentiality is at the core of legal practice. Every engagement starts with a mutual NDA before we discuss your workflows, data, or matter types. Your clients' information stays yours.

Direct Access

You work directly with the people building your software — no account managers passing messages. Pedro and the core team are on every call from discovery through delivery, and available after launch.

From First Call to Going Live

A predictable four-step process — no surprises, no scope creep, no disappearing developers.

Step 01

Discovery

We start with a 30-minute call to understand your firm's workflows, pain points, and goals. No obligation — just a clear conversation about where your time is going and what automation can recover it.

Step 02

Proposal

Within 48 hours of discovery, we deliver a scoped proposal: what we'll build, how long it will take, and what it will cost. Fixed-price where possible. No hourly billing surprises.

Step 03

Build

We build in short sprints with regular check-ins. You see progress weekly, provide feedback in context, and nothing ships until you've signed off. Your staff is involved in testing before launch.

Step 04

Deliver & Support

We hand off documentation, train your team, and stay available for 30 days post-launch. Most of our clients come back for Phase 2 — because the first project works.

About

Built by People Who Understand Legal Workflows

WhartonBrein was founded in Buenos Aires in 2022 by Pedro Wharton, a software developer who spent years watching US law firms struggle with the same operational bottlenecks: intake forms that lived in email, documents assembled by hand, workflows tracked in spreadsheets. The problem wasn't that solutions didn't exist — it was that no one was building software that fit how law firms actually operate.

Today, WhartonBrein is a focused team of four specialists — developers, a UX designer, and a legal process analyst — working exclusively with US firms. We've delivered seven projects across immigration, personal injury, estate planning, and family law practices. Every one of them started with us learning the firm's process before opening a code editor.

We operate on a nearshore model: Buenos Aires timezone overlaps comfortably with US East and Central hours, keeping communication direct and responsive. Our clients never deal with an account manager — Pedro is on every project, from the first call to the final handoff.
